The Production Team is looking to fill the role of
Production
Material Handler
in their Phoenix, Arizona facility. As a member of the Production Team, assemblers are a key component to ensuring IPL customer satisfaction by following all safety, quality, and production requirements at or above standards. The Material Handlers are responsible for providing materials to each machine to maintain production flow, as well as utilize a forklift or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished product as necessary.

site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL's Large Format and Retail Packaging (LF&R) business in the United States. LF&R is a growing segment, with annual revenue of approximately $200m and significant growth potential, and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.
Position Title: Material Handler/Production Forklift Operator
Shift: Night Shift 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (
12-hour
rotating)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.
Essential experience and skills:
Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, giving top priority attention to safety regulations.Ability to monitor quantities of various materials used in the manufacturing process and inform Shift Supervisor when materials are low.Ability to properly label and stamp trays. Assist assemblers with changing label rolls as needed.Ability to transport rejected product or scrap material to the grinding area to grind as well as perform grinding duties as necessary.Ability to transport product using a forklift or pallet jack to various departments or areas in the facility as needed.Ability to wrap finished product, scan product into inventory control system, and accurately store in rack system.Ability to perform quality checks and notify appropriate personnel of discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.Ability to maintain general housekeeping of the production area.Ability to read, write, comprehend written materials, and perform basic math functions required.Experience operating a forklift in manufacturing environment is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.Perform other related duties as assigned.The successful candidate will:
At least 1 year of recent Forklift experience is required.Ability to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours or more per day, in various climates.Frequent lifting of between 10 lbs. and 30 lbs.Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.Ability to use basic hand tools.Ability to wear personal protective equipment (cotton gloves, Kevlar gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, etc.) in accordance with PPE guidelines.Frequent reaching and stretchingRepetitive motion for prolonged periods of time is likely.Work area may have fluorescent lighting.Moderate to loud noise level - hearing protection is required.Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous priority changes and short-notice activityRequired to work with/around rubber, latex, and/or silicone during normal job duties.
