Senior Enterprise Data Warehouse Engineer :

Reporting to the Director of BI and EDW, the Sr. EDW Engineer is responsible for successful delivery of Business Intelligence information to the entire organization.This role acts as an acknowledged expert on data warehousing and reporting and is responsible for Analysis, design, development, implementation and support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and key reporting deliverables.

Essential FunctionsTranslate business requirements into a star/snowflake schema data modelDesign and develop ETL processes to support population of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and general data movement needsDesign, develop, and implement key reporting artifactsSupport implemented DW/BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issuesEvolve the Enterprise Data Warehouse by working with IT management to develop a strategic roadmap for Data Warehousing and BIWork to empower business users to gain access to key data to allow them to report and analyze business informationEstablish and ensure compliance to database standards through the entire development life cycleMentors DW/BI staff and provides feedback and guidancePlans complex DW/BI implementations and serves as Project LeadOther job-related duties as assignedMeet all compliance requirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirementsExpert Level understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniquesAbility to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, BI report development and business analyst resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiencesKnowledge of DW/BI user security design and managementAbility to monitor performance of and tune complex DW and BI processesThe ability to duplicate data on different servers using replication processKnowledge of RDBMS concepts, stored procedures and triggersSelf-starter, with great analytical and communication skillsResponsibilities for defining, altering, deleting, binding and managing database objects such as databases, table-spaces, partitions, tables, indexes, views, plans, and packagesProject leadership/management skillsMust be a team playerStrong Microsoft SQL Server BI stack (Database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) skillsEducation and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience in a complex data warehouse environmentHands-on Data warehousing project experience and experience in full life cycle Business Intelligence development, implementation, tuning and supportExperience extracting reporting/analytics requirements from business usersRequired Certification/License

Ability to obtain and maintain an Ohio Casino Control Commission Gaming License, an Ohio Casino Control Commission Sports Gaming License, and a Ohio Lottery Commission Gaming License
