We own our results and we take pride and ownership in everything we do.Who are you?Culturally, you are...A highly motivated engineer who loves working on small, high performing teamsCollaborative, a solid communicator, and work well with teams and stakeholdersSomeone who cares deeply for team results, checks your ego at the door, and takes pride in owning resultsA professional who can advocate strongly for their position and still be 100% behind a team's decisionsComfortable balancing the need to move fast with the realities of working in a highly regulated space like paymentsPassionate about continuously growing their skillsPassionate about what you do and desire to apply your skills to produce value-add resultsEnjoy eating and hanging out with your team in person and virtuallyEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesApply and deliver all things DevOps related to team applications and servicesLead and support the team to apply DevOps principles and practicesIdentify and implement CI/CD methodology and philosophies for existing and new applications and servicesExpand the teams knowledge on pipeline and fully automated processesWork closely with the development, QA, and product teams ensuring a smooth integration and deployment of applications and servicesWrite Infrastructure as CodeManage pipelines and deploymentsEvaluate, document and propose new solutions to advance the team, applications and servicesExpand the teams knowledge base on anything you may be a subject matter expert onRequired Experience For ConsiderationBachelor Degree in a related field or equivalent experience4+ years of development experience in any language2+ years of experience developing infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS Cloud formation2+ years of experience automating Cloud-based applications and servicesExperience with continuous integration/continuous delivery - CI/CDExperience with Linux, containerization and container orchestration like KubernetesExperience with one or more of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef and PuppetExperience working with development teams translating requirements into designs and automated workflowsExperience with shell scripting languages such as Python, BashExperience leveraging containerization and container orchestrationExperience with Database technologies to pull data (SQL/NoSQL and similar languages)Experience with basic networking and protocolsCan pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks quicklyHas advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skillsHas a “can do” attitude and works well in a team environmentHas the ability to prioritize and organize work tasks for maximum efficiencyHas the ability to document clear/precise instructions for process and proceduresHas good verbal and written communication skillsIs assertive and not afraid to speak up with their point of view and ideasPreferred ExperienceExperience working on agile teams to deliver software iterativelyExperience with Agile Lifecycle tools like Confluence and JIRA and or Azure DevOpsExperience with designing and architecting applicationsExperience with logging, metrics and monitoring tools like DataDog and SplunkExperience with the fuel business and transaction processingExperience with Multi-cloud solutions - Azure, Google, AmazonExperience with different types of compliance (PCI, SOC, HIPAA)Cloud Certifications - AWS Architect preferredThe base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $117,000.00 - $156,000.00
