JPC Partners is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing team of cloud-first technology enthusiasts.
Requirements
8+ years of experience managing high volume SaaS CI/CD pipelinesExpert in hybrid and cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions (Azure & Docker preferred)Expert in Microsoft technologies such as Azure IaaS and Windows Server Core/2019+Expert in Linux server systems administration such as RedHat, CentOS, and DebianExpert in traditional and PaaS web application technologies such as Azure Web Apps, IIS, application load balancingExpert with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies, and variable workload (container) orchestrationProficiency with the Agile methodology, DevOps, Scrum, ITSM and/or ITIL principlesDisplays an entrepreneurial instinct for identifying value and pragmatic solutionsAbility to manage diverse activities simultaneously, delivering on commitments and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgmentAbility to operate independently as well as influence across the technology organizationStrong project management skills and detail-oriented
Responsibilities
Support and improve the engineering platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment development pipeline containing technologies such as Azure PaaS, Docker containers, Jenkins, Octopus, GitHub, and moreIdentify and champion opportunities for shortening release cycles, improving quality, optimizing the scale, and increasing the security of our delivered softwareImprove site reliability through the implementation of detailed telemetry, based on leading and trailing indicatorsPartner with other technical leaders to ensure all newly introduced systems are supportable and maintainable by both development and operationsProvides escalated technical guidance and support to other technology teams throughout the organizationEnsure all solutions and operational activities adhere to the security and operating policies established by the organizationIdentify opportunities for improving service delivery or the health of the environment through process improvement and/or continual development of documentation and runbooksProvides on-call coverage for development support and other duties as required
