Your Next OpportunityRosendin Electric is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join the General Accounting team to provide support in various accounting functions within the company.
What You’ll DoAssists with the monthly close process: including preparing month end schedules, reconciliation, and preparing closing entries.Prepare and upload various journal entries daily as well as ensuring all transactions are carried out in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.Assists with monthly variance analysis of corporate overhead expenditures against budget and report any findings to management.Reconcile complex cash accounts and work with cross functional teams to discuss and resolve any discrepancies.Assist with banking related activities including transactional reporting and daily cash journal entries.Assist with the yearly audit and provide supporting documentation.Assist with Fixed Asset reporting including tracking costs for various purchases and on-going capitalizable projects.Provide support general support on miscellaneous ad hoc projects.The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.
What You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulProficient understanding of accounting processes and principlesExperience with a large ERP system preferredEffective analytical skillsProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferredPrioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessaryWork under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitudeOral and written communication skills as required for the positionSelf-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerInteract effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
What You Bring To UsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related2-3 years’ experience in finance or accountingCombination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Working ConditionsGeneral work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
