The Scrum Master's primary role is to help the project delivery teams and/or Product Owners to work more effectively. With a focus on continuous improvement, the Scrum Master will work closely with the with various teams, leading the production support and enhancement of our customer-facing digital products.
Daily Tasks Performed• Operate as PM/Scrum Master• Facilitate the SAFe Agile workflow: Sprint reviews, Sprint Retrospective, Sprint Planning, project approval, and other events.• Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.• Ensure on time delivery of projects and related business objectives.• Assess project status and proactively manage changes in scope and priorities throughout the project• Work with the Value Stream to engage key stakeholders to both gain and provide understanding of cross-dependencies.• Provide support on issues and questions from stakeholders.• Facilitate communication and gain commitment between business and IT units to align solutions with business strategies.• Develop materials to support change management efforts, in collaboration with Transformation Office.
Position Success Criteria:
Minimum Experience:- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Scrum Master- Bachelor's degree or requisite experience, training, or coursework in agile development, innovation, and process management.- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.)
Technical Skills:- Ability to lead and influence at all levels, without direct authority.- Ability to manage ambiguity in a rapidly changing and high-paced environment.- Ability to coach and mentor team and organization on agile practices.- Possess strong problem solving, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.- Recognize when commitments are at risk, identify impediments and remove roadblocks to enable team to meet their commitments.- Enable continuous improvement through data-driven decisions and observation.
