About The Opportunity

Hiring Range: 98K - 104K

The IT Business Analyst plans, defines, designs, coordinates, manages, and contributes to the definition of IT Programs and their projects through jointly owning IT product roadmap definition, project requirements, application functionality, stakeholder management, and user testing.

Key Responsibilities

Participates and thoroughly understands all requirements for system feature development and/or configuration within a defined platform to enable Associate Application Product Managers with writing storiesCreates Product Documentation to enable all roles within the SDLC process to self-educate and further refine their knowledge of the Performant systemsDocuments, presents information, and leads discussions related to process flows, high-level business requirements, detailed functional requirements, use cases, data flows, UI mock-ups, and user test scripts for Product team, Development team, QA team and User Test teamDemonstrates the ability to contribute to multiple concurrent system tickets during a given scheduled release and/ or system patch.Troubleshoots and understands application functionality from a user perspectiveActs as subject matter expert for corresponding business unit(s) and how technology enables the business.Collaborates with project team to help rationalize, plan, scope, and schedule future projectsWorks with business partners to develop technological concepts and requirements for new system initiativesContributes to ITSC (Information Technology Steering Committee) meetings for Program roadmap and strategyCollaborates with team members with assigned tasks and manages own project tasks on a day-to-day basisWorks closely with all IT roles including governance, project management, architecture, development, infrastructure and IT security teams in completing assigned activitiesWorks with individuals and teams across platforms, applications, and/or business linesProvides consistent and comprehensive status updates on a regular basis to the PMOContributes to the processes and the methodologies pertaining to the business analysis of projects as part of IT Governance and acts as an expert knowledgeable of all aspects of their use and deploymentParticipates in lessons learned at the end of each projectPerforms problem management responsibilities as neededAssists other business analyst resources as neededAssists PMO and/or Governance functions with status and metric reporting as neededPerform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Needed

Competency in computer programs: MS Office and Visio; off-the shelf and proprietary software applicationsSQL - MS SQL or Oracle is must. Knowledge of Joins in SQL is must.Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint knowledgeBasic knowledge of Software Technology stack (Javascript/C#/API)Experience with requirements, prototyping, and development team collaboration toolsAble to work extended hours during critical project phasesExcellent communication, writing, critical thinking, analytical, and presentation skillsAble to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionAbility to work on projects with a professional attitude and exceptional organizational skills under pressureAbility to collaborate with peers and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders and organizationsPrior experience of domains like Finance or Insurance or Healthcare

Required And Preferred Qualifications

Business Analyst certification a plusBA or BS degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience is requiredMin 2+ years’ experience with IT business analysis with software projectsDemonstrated experience analyzing business processes implications for requirements on projectsDemonstrated experience analyzing business needs and requirements for various types of software projectsExperience with industry standard requirements gathering, documentation, management, and validation methodologiesExperience creating project artifacts to facilitate the business analysis processDemonstrated experience in controlling project scope while actively mitigating risks and issues for the project through business analysis inputDemonstrated accountability, task ownership, and maturityExperience in working on multiple projects simultaneously with cross matrix teamsProven effectiveness with producing high quality work productsExperience project lifecycle, software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid approaches, etc.), and Program management style management and reporting

Requirements
