About the Rol

The Retail Systems Product Manager is tasked with overseeing and ensuring the efficient operation, optimization, and overall success of all technology systems used in Curaleaf’s retail environment. This includes point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Seed To Sale (STS) systems, E-comm systems and other related technologies. This role is crucial in driving the continual optimization of systems, product road mapping, designing business processes that integrate with technological infrastructure, ensuring mass adoption of new technologies, and ensuring technological recourses support the store's daily operations, enhance customer experience, and contribute to achieving sales targets. This is a highly matrixed, highly visible role that requires a strong communicator with deep relationships with brand, IT, creative, legal, compliance, marketing, digital marketing, and analytics stakeholders to ensure that organizational needs are met. As the Product Manager for Retail Systems, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of Curaleaf's retail operations. Your strategic vision, combined with your expertise in retail systems, will drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, making a significant impact on our growth and success in the cannabis industry.

What You’ll Do:

System Optimization: Proactively manage and enhance the performance of all retail technology systems (specifically POS), to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.Technology Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire suite of retail technology systems including POS systems, ERP software, CRM tools, and STS systems.Process Development: Develop, document, and refine business processes that interface with technology infrastructure to optimize workflows.Product Development: Develop requirements & user stories: Communicate product needs through the collection and creation of functional specifications, business requirements, user stories, and data analysis that include acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.Support and Troubleshooting: Manage support and outage responses by leveraging internal and external support partners to provide assistance and resolve issues swiftly to minimize system downtimes.Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Assist in managing service agreements to ensure they meet the needs of the business.Training and Development: Design and execute comprehensive training programs for all users of retail systems, ensuring staff are well-versed in both the technical and practical aspects of the systems.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Work with IT to generate regular reports that provide insights into system usage, performance issues, and operational efficiency.Collaboration and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the Retail department and other business units. Facilitate open communication channels to ensure that technology initiatives are well understood and supported across the organization. Encourage feedback from stakeholders to improve systems and processes continually.Advanced Data Stewardship: Implement data governance frameworks for retail finished goods. Oversee data validation, and reporting processes to enhance decision-making and regulatory compliance.Comprehensive Seed to Sale Systems Oversight: Ensure meticulous management of seed-to-sale tracking systems as it relates to end user functionality in partnership with Internet Technology (IT), focusing on accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, marketing, or statistics.Strong knowledge of POS systems, e-commerce platforms, ERP, STS systems and agile development workflow software.At least 3 years of experience in IT or Retail operations with an emphasis on business systems and POS, with a minimum of 1 year in a management role overseeing retail systems or related technology.Proficient knowledge of Product Management principles and processes.Ability to deep-dive data, generate insights, identify business opportunities, and execute them.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills.Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions using solutions-based thinking in problem solving, asking probing questions and looking for underlying issues.Strong organizational and project management skills.Self-starter mindset, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with constant shifting of priorities.Natural collaboration skills and service orientation.Ability to travel 50% of the time.
