Senior Tax Manager to help our Trust, Estate & Gift practice . As a

Tax Manager,

you will focus on tax review and oversee all aspects of trust and gift tax planning and compliance. You will provide expert tax advice to high-net-worth clients to optimize their tax positions and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Additionally, you will participate in leading a team of TJT tax professionals and developing intentional relationships with clients.

This position offers flexibility in terms of office location, as TJT has offices available in the following locations: Raleigh, Durham, Wilmington, Emerald Isle, and Boone NC.

Essential Functions:

Review complex trust, estate, and gift tax returns

Research and consult on various estate, gift and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues,generation skipping tax issues and wealth transfer planning

Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards

Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership

Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines

Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements

Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services

Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations

Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations

Professional Requisites:

6+ years of progressivetax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients

Technical expertise complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree in accounting preferred

Current CPA certification preferred

Previous work experience in the public accounting industry is required

Strong tax research skills

Excellent managerial, organizational, and communication skills
