Schedule:
Full time 12 hour rotating shifts; 28 days per rotation with 14 days off. Must work set rotating day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays

starting pay $24.50/hr. (Salary based on experience)

Duties and Responsibilities include:Answers calls for emergencies from the public or first responders in a prompt and courteous manner.Performs a thorough interrogation of calls, extracts vital information necessary and proper to ascertain the nature and location of the emergency.Determines the proper apparatus and personnel required to service the emergency.Transmits and receives messages using approved terminology.Records correct and proper times relevant to an emergency.Maintains knowledge and understanding of the street/location systems.Maintains a thorough knowledge and complete understanding of all procedures and equipment as they apply to the activities of the Dispatch Center.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must be able to work rotating day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to sit for extended periods. Must also be able to stand, walk, bend and reach.No felony convictions.Must be able to attend assigned training.Must be able to operate a personal computer and standard office equipment.Must be able to type quickly and with accuracy.Must be able to maintain composure in stressful situations and interact calmly and professionally with emotionally distraught individuals.Must be able to maintain confidentiality.Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Must communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.Desirable Training and Experience (not required):
Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch, and Emergency Police Dispatch certificationsMissouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) CertificationCPR CertificationOther specialized certifications may be beneficialBenefits:
