Job Description Summary

Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt

The candidate will act as a histology research assistant and will work on projects analyzing the immune contexture of mouse and human cancer tissues using multiplex imaging and analysis tools. The research assistant will collaborate with the laboratory team on various projects. The candidate will be required to work independently, collaboratively, possessing strong writing, presentation and analytical skills. He/She will be responsible for 1) tissue processing and sectioning, 2) assisting in the operation of automated and manual immunostaining procedures, 3) slide scanning and image acquisition, 4) management of image files, 5) image analysis, 6) development of novel image analytical tools and procedures, and 7) development of presentations and reports displaying results of image analyses. The candidate will also be involved as necessary in the analysis of multidimensional flow cytometry and transcriptome analyses. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic/motivation, meticulous organizational skills, solid computational skills, and strong social/communication skills.
