NP Women's Health Midwife CN CNM Outpatient - Bronx, NY

A healthcare organization in New York is currently seeking a new Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and/or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their growing team at their Bronx site! About the opportunity: Location: The Bronx Schedule: Open to full or part time (2 days/week) Setting: FQHC Responsibilities: The WHNP / CNM will: Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices Provide prenatal care to pregnant women Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities Provide counseling and education on various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being Prescribe medications, including contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, and medications for gynecological conditions Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of related work experience Bachelor's Degree Active NJS Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and/or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Highly organized
