Job Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Senior Accountant. This role is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their expertise in the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties with a significant focus on the general ledger and financial accounting. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data and requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.Conduct complex balance sheet and income statement analyses.Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.Lead and coordinate the budget and forecast processes.Identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engage in the design.Assist with compilation and analysis of consolidated budgets and long-range plans.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.Collaborate with finance and non-finance departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or MBA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.Proficiency with financial accounting systems and general ledger functions.Strong knowledge of GAAP.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes.Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.Experience in the medical industry is a plus.Ability to work independently, with little supervision.Demonstrated ability to improve processes and enhance organizational efficiencies.Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
