Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will work with the accounting team in all areas. This is a hands-on position, and you will be required to act independently, exercise good judgement and discretion. You will play a pivotal role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing strategic guidance to support our continued growth and success.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of journal entries.Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making and drive business performance.Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Assist with the development, implementation of, and monitoring adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.Stay informed about industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting the healthcare sector.Full cycle AR, including collectionsCoordinates with Finance in the support and development of the budget and rolling forecastsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 1 year experience in public accounting roleCPA OR CPA eligible and plans to be fully license in the next yearMinimum 3 years proven experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, including compliance within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment.Highly curious and seeks to understandProficiency in Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based accounting software, with hands-on experience managing financial data and generating reports.Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement new software solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity within the finance function.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Ability to think holistically in terms of how your work impacts organization as a whole
