Job Description:
The
Supervising Physician
will serve as a team leader for a pod of clinical staff in order to provide support to the team to optimize clinical skills of the team, maximize their efficiency, quality, and productivity of the team while serving as a preceptor and coach of the team. In addition, the Supervising Physician will manage and panel of patients with a reduced template of patient visits. The supervising physician will provide clinical supervision, consultation, and chart review in both a formal and informal manner. He/She/They will assure the highest quality of care, as evidenced in clinical outcome metrics, enforce compliance with clinical duties, promote health equity for our patients by offering formal and informal trainings to the clinical staff, attending huddles, and teaching clinical learners of all levels to improve the cohesiveness of the interdisciplinary team and efficiency of care delivered to the patients. The weekly productivity expectations of the team they are leading will be established and it is expected that the team will work towards its accomplishment. The number of NPP under each supervising physician will be based upon the composition of providers assigned and will be monitored/adjusted as needed.
Experience and Skills:
MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency programBoard Certified in Internal MedicineValid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLSAt least 3 years of experienceUnderstanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferredAnnual salary from $225,000 to $250,000 per year
