What would I be doing?:
Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar is seeking a Heavy Duty Porter who will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of common areas, the casino floor, restrooms, and restaurants.Responsibilities:Lead, train and develop required heavy duty cleaning skillsDisplay solid understanding of all cleaning equipment and use of related cleaning chemicalsWalk the entire casino and building complex, public areas inspecting and demonstrating proceduresCommunicate effectively in writing and verbally with all guests and team members andFollow through on all projects completed and/or scheduledKnow cleaning supplies available and how to use them properlyHave working knowledge of equipment and be able to demonstrate its proper operation to othersAttend shift and departmental meetingsFollow Company and departmental policies and proceduresFollow established key, radio and chemical proceduresFollow and enforce safety and lost and found procedures and guidelines for energy conservation
