Position Summary
Chaminade University is in search of a team-oriented, visual architect to steward the University's visual identity and continuous production of a suite of integrated marketing communications. This individual must be versed in graphic, web, email, and print design and will be responsible for producing engaging marketing campaigns that support the university's objectives and annual initiatives. This individual understands and fully embraces the value of working collaboratively in an in-office, in-person environment and is also responsible for ensuring that all communications are in alignment with the University's brand guidelines. This position works alongside a team of dedicated professionals committed to the university's continued growth and success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties (80%) : Responsible for creating full-funnel marketing campaigns for recruitment, developing collateral for donor cultivation and building stakeholder engagement through compelling and consistent design. Charged with producing a wide array of marketing from digital advertising and social media assets to direct mail campaigns and stakeholder publications (print) as a steward of the Chaminade brand. Highly committed to an in-person work environment. Gifted in collaborating with team members on various aspects of department operations to develop responsive and innovative marketing solutions for University's stated objectives. Ensure project deadlines are met by working proactively and collaboratively in a project-based environment while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, impact, brand equity and seamless execution. Responsible for communicating with and managing production partners including photographers, printers, media publications and freelance contractors. Responsible for all design and production aspects of department's publications including but not limited to seasonal magazines and stakeholder reports. Meet with various campus partners and/or stakeholders to collect requirements for creative development. Secondary Duties (20%):
Manage and seasonally update University brand guidelines including a maintaining library of editable templates for university stakeholder academic and administrative use. Responsible for digital file management of University's image and asset library. Provide secondary coverage and support for University events in the form of photography and/or videography. Work with external university partners to ensure proper brand standards across all marketing and communication platforms. Bring new technology-based creative solutions to the team and collaborate accordingly to bring concepts to testing or fruition. Possess an exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of user-centered design, UX and mobile-responsive best practices. Support print and production vendors for their needs on various format renditions, adjustments, and proofing. Disclaimer

Education and Experience
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in design (or closely related area of study) and at least five years of experience at an agency, in-house marketing department or equivalent business setting.
Preferred
Experience in both print and digital is highly preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated, proven aesthetic judgment, excellent visual design ability, and strong conceptual ability. Excellent conceptual, design and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and manage multiple projects and associated deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency in using Adobe's suite of design and web development tools required (Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat). Experience with the email component of customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Responsible for and versed in cost estimating for print and production collateral as well as creative file management. Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
Other Requirements
Must have a valid Drivers License This is a full time, exempt position. Forty hours per week (M-F) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and have a varying schedule when required. Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner. The employee is expected to adhere to all University policies while employed.
