Job Summary
This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama
Seeking part-time nurse coverage for clinical services performed under contract with the State Employee Insurance Board (SEIB) at the State Wellness Center in Montgomery, AL. Applicants shall provide professional nursing support and direct patient care a following established standards and practices.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of timeAdditional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloadsAssistance with special projectsSeasonal workEmergenciesIf you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education.
AU students are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions
Prepares patients for examinations and treatments and collects objective and subjective assessment data in preparation for the patients exam.Serves as a productive member of the interdisciplinary care team providing input into care decisions.Provides direct patient care such as administration of medications and immunizations.Documents patient care provided and follows all regulatory guidelines.Communicates test results to patients under the direction of the primary care practitioners.Coordinates medical care with other providers when patients are referred to other providers.Prepares and maintains clinicals supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific field related to area of assignment.Must be have a valid license as a practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN).
Desired Qualifications
