OverviewRES is looking for a Senior Water Resources Project Manager with at least 20 years of experience for our Orlando, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL office.
The mission : The Senior Water Resources Project Manager will assist the region in developing and executing its turnkey mega-projects. These projects will have contract values ranging from $50M to $100M, construction values between $30M - $60M, and frequently entail civil and ecological elements within a unified scope of work.
The role requires a seasoned professional capable of managing a diverse set of multidisciplinary subconsultants and subcontractors. The Senior Water Resources Project Manager is responsible for all matters pertaining to the project and project execution in accordance with the contract and project’s HSSE, quality, schedule, risk management and financial goals.
What your day-to-day might look like?
Complete responsibility for the planning, execution, and management of very large water and ecosystem restoration projects, ensuring alignment with environmental sustainability goals and compliance with the permit and contract requirements.
Manage and monitor third-party engineering partners and contractors to ensure quality engineering and implementation decision-making for scheduled deliverables and management within budget.
Direct multidisciplinary teams to design, build and sustain nature-based solutions for water quality improvement and ecosystem resilience, including hydrologic restoration of degraded landscapes to improve wetlands and their performance, habitat restoration, and dynamic conveyance systems
Review, approve and report on project expenditures, costs, estimates, budgets, financial forecasts and project schedules.
Manage project and discipline managers to achieve project objectives.
Manage projects to meet cost, schedule, safety, quality and contractual requirements to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
Identify and solve complex problems; use a broad perspective and resources outside the project team to develop solutions, ensuring consistency with the project objectives.
Manage relationships with customers and stakeholders and develop opportunities for project growth and new business.
Build and organize the project team.
Adhere to company and industry safety standards and promote safely culture among the project team.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of your time within Florida as priorities require.

QualificationsWe would love to speak with you if you have many of the following:
BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in hydrogeology, water resources or agricultural engineering.
Experience in managing projects with high degree of complexity and over $100M in value that spans planning, design, construction, monitoring, operations and maintenance.
Experience with relevant environmental regulations and permits/approvals(e.g. CWA Section 404/401/402,7,10, 10, 62-330 F.A.C, Environmental Resource Permit Applicant’s Handbooks, ESA, MBTA)
Experience managing engineering and construction contractors with scope of work exceeding $50M in value.
Experience in negotiating and managing various construction contract structures such as Design Build, Design Build Operate and Maintain, P3, CMAR.
Experience developing and maintaining schedules using scheduling software typical of the industry (ie: MS Project, Primavera, ProCor)
Direct working experience and relationships with the private sector, including energy, oil, gas, transportation, developers, or utilities, and existing connections with channel partners, such as consulting, design, and engineering firms

Licensed Professional Engineer
Existing relationships with State, County, and City government officials in Florida.
Existing relationships with regulatory stakeholders, including: USACE, FEDP, FWS, FWCC, WMDs.
Project management certification
Experience with large ($100M+) EPC civil
projects with both green and grey components
Experience with the FDEP Underwater Injection Control permitting for exploratory and injection wells
