Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Software Engineering Manager who will lead a team to innovate and build software that will provide structural engineering capabilities for the residential construction industry.Job Responsibilities & RequirementsResponsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional growth and success.Create and promote a respectful and collaborative working environment.Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing software development team.Manage and lead design, implementation, testing, and debugging of new and existing software.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to discover, design, develop and fulfill business needs.Manage resourcing, estimation, scheduling, and execution of work required to meet business needs.Identify and mitigate risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges that may impact project timelines or deliverables.Provide technical guidance, assistance, and contributions to the team.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the software engineering team.Work closely with the architecture team to ensure adherence to, and continued development of, architecture best practices.Evaluate and recommend technologies, hardware, software, and services.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in technical field or equivalent experience5+ years of professional experience in software design and development requiredStrong technical background and hands-on experience in software development using modern programming languages and frameworksDemonstrated leadership skillsAbility to interact professionally with internal and external customers and team membersMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in both technical and business termsDevelopment experience with Microsoft technologies, including object-oriented design using .NETPreferred Qualifications:
Experience modernizing large complex software applications, including refactoring, rearchitecting, and introducing new technologies and frameworksExperience with 3D modeling, BIM, or CAD softwareWorking knowledge of structure engineering and residential building constructionMiTek Perks:
