Looking for highly motivated nurses to help on this PCU Cardiac Surgery Unit. This unit cares for patients that are status post cardiac surgery. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Department: Telemetry 4D Shift Timing: 18:45 - 07:15 Monday to FridayRoles & Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications Unit Capacity: 24 Beds Population Served: Pre and Post Cardiac Surgery, Acute Coronary Syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias and other related cardiac disorders. Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 5:1 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the pati Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Required minimum of 1 years of Experience. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of RN Cardiac Telemetry experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license One year of Epic experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
