The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for creating opportunities, driving new sales, and managing the sales pipeline within a defined territory. Their primary role is to develop enterprise-level relationships to close High-Value opportunities in the financial services and FinTech industry. This position will report to the Financial Institution (FI) Sales Manager of FirsTech, a subsidiary of First Busey Corporation (FBC).Additional Duties:Meet or exceed annual sales targetsDevelop strategies to drive sales in a defined territory by identifying, qualifying, and managing execution of new business opportunitiesLead identified opportunities through a defined sales process, from lead qualification to successful deal closureBuild pipeline for future sales opportunitiesWork with the management team to develop strategies that generate or progress pipeline within the defined territoryWork with leadership to prospect and identify accounts, and execute on sales processBuild trust and credibility at all levels within a prospects’ organization and, thereby, identify business priorities, demonstrate value/ROI of FirsTech solutions, and ensure a successful implementationDevelop enterprise-level relationships with new prospects and with our internal teams to uncover new opportunities.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGKnowledge of:Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong sales and customer service skillsDeveloping and maintaining knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partnersFinTech or financial services ecosystems, with working knowledge of the landscape and relationships with key players, to drive immediate impactAbility to:Meet and exceed monthly quotasAnalyze and solve problems of a complex nature and make decisions based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced technical concepts is required for which there are not precedentsOriginate new procedures and approaches to problemsPerform duties under frequent time pressuresEDUCATION AND TRAINING3+ years of proven success as a Senior Sales Associate (ideally in the FinTech or Technology services arena); 8+ years of selling technology products/servicesBachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Finance or Economics (MBA is a plus).Travel required (up to 50% within the assigned territory).STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCECustomer Service - Adheres to The Busey Promise service standards set through Service Excellence in order to anticipate and exceed the needs of our customers, both internal and external.Change Management - Champions and creates followership for change, and effectively navigates through uncertainty and difficult transitions.Functional Knowledge and Technical Skills - Skilled in job-specific knowledge that is necessary to provide the appropriate quantity and quality of work in a timely and efficient manner.Accountability - Work behaviors demonstrate responsible personal and professional conduct, which contributes to the overall goals and objectives of Busey.Interpersonal Relations (Teamwork) - Interacts effectively with others to establish and maintain smooth working relations.Business Acumen – Using an understanding of business issues, processes, and outcomes to enhance business performance.Results Driven – Monitors performance and maintains a sense of urgency to drive results.Fostering Innovation – Developing, sponsoring, or supporting the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures, or technologies.Oral Communication – Communicating ideas and information verbally to ensure that information and messages are understood and have the desired impact.WORK ENVIRONMENTDuties are performed in an office setting and include physical demands such as the manual dexterity and skill to operate standard office equipment.
