Senior Sales Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to manage all field sales efforts within the South x West region. The ideal location for this position will be in California. This includes the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast Districts. The position will report directly to the Director of Sales.

Specifically

Responsible for achieving regional sales objectives.Manages 5 direct reports (3 District Sales Managers, 2 Installer Bus. Dev. Mgr) and indirectly up to 28 field sales personnel.Successfully creates the right Growth mindset within the Region.Identify Growth opportunities and create a strategy to capture it.Successfully implements sales strategies.Responsible for development of sales personnel.Build relationships with VELUX customers.Possible National Account Management of large customers.Primary Responsibilities

Developing and implementing annual sales force strategy.Successfully recruit, build out, and develop our Installer partners. This includes managing an Installer Business Development team focused on the Skylight Specialist network.Develop and implement a builder strategy in the region to increase skylight penetration within this customer segment.Develop a plan to aggressively attack low share markets and earn the business.Working with and supporting pilots within the Region even though personnel may not report within the Region.Directing all sales efforts within the South x West Region towards achieving budgeted sales goals.Participates with People & Organization in recruiting, training and developing the field sales personnel.Preparing annual sales forecasts and sales expense estimates.Operating within established expense budget.Monitors sales results and redirects sales efforts accordingly.Building relationships with customers, providing VELUX a competitive advantage in the market.Provide feedback to the Director of Sales as to improvements in policies, procedures, products and other business issues.Monthly Salary Range:

$11,720.00 (minimum) - $13,945 (midpoint). Compensation will be based on the skills and experience of the candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.Willing and able to travel. Should spend 50% of time in the field on sales rides and customer visits throughout the South x West Region. This will mean between 75 and 100 travel nights a year.A minimum of five years of sales management experience is required.High energy and enthusiasm.
