Providing strategic direction for RevPAR and market share growth is a priority, as is leading by example. While technically a home-based position, the RDOS will be actively engaged with the hotel properties, so travel to the hotels and a hands on approach with our property teams is critical.This position works closely with regional counterparts in operations, revenue management and marketing to support the hotel teams. Brand experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG is preferred. Transparent communication, inspiring leadership, and effective accountability are the skills needed to coach, mentor and cultivate an aggressive and proactive sales culture within the region to maximize top and bottom line performance.What will you be doing most days?
Responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new businessDevelop annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectivesDirect the implementation and execution of sales policies and practicesEnsure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives, and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with marketingRecommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysesImplement approved distribution strategies and manage multiple channel selling strategiesBuild, develop, and manage the sales teams at each property for an efficient, profitable sales departmentWhat are the requirements for this position?
You have a minimum of 5-10 years of hotel sales experience and at least two years as a Director/Leadership roleYou have a college degree in sales, business, management, or similar field. Exceptions made for extensive, proven industry experienceYou are action oriented and have strong negotiating skillsYou have an extensive record of proven leadership skills directing the efforts of others to achieve budgeted expectations.You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsYou have a valid driver's licensePhysical Requirements For This Position
You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel is outside the local area and overnight.About OTO
