The Lead Program Financial Analyst (LPFA) is the Fiscal partner to the program operations of the agency and mentor to the Assistant Program Financial Analyst (APFA). As the LPFA, your work, whether it’s reviewing and analyzing reports to our funders or identifying new opportunities to streamline internal processes, is used by our leaders to make strategic decisions to support our agency’s mission and goals. Working on multiple assignments/projects at a time you will look for creative ways to take on big-picture challenges including process improvements and serve as a collaborative business partner to our program teams. The LPFA has high visibility to the agency’s leadership team and interacts with a wide range of key stakeholders (Program, Fiscal, Development, and Grantors). This role reports to the Director of Finance and will support the Director in the coordination of the team’s deliverables.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentor and help supervise the work of the APFA.Lead or prepare the submission of grant invoices to funders on a timely basis and follow up on outstanding grant payments receivables.Monitor and analyze budget categories, spending rates, and time restrictions to ensure all grants are on track to meet budgeted spending requirements. Proactively communicate with program staff and others when grant expenses are not on track to meet budget requirements and assist in the preparation of budget revisions as needed.Responsible for monthly close processes, including but not limited to recording revenue and indirect costs, tracking restricted revenue uses recording the release of temporarily restricted revenue, and reviewing shared direct cost allocations.Serve as Fiscal “Business Partner” to assigned program team(s) to guide and assist them in managing their budgets and tracking revenue and expenses. Collaborate across Fiscal, program teams, corporate, and leadership as well as external funders.Provide guidance and assistance to support the Grants Director and program team in the development of contract budgets for proposals and renewals. This includes understanding the Requests for Proposals (RFP) and budget instructions.Partner with assigned program leader(s) and team(s) to develop short- and long-range budgets and forecasts.Responsible for budgeting and recording of quarterly In-Kind revenue and expenses.Provide mentorship, coordination, and support of activities with the other PFAs (Program Financial Analysts) on the team.Assist the Director of Finance with the Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) analysis, AR Aging, and complete assigned monthly reconciliations.Assist with the annual audits (Financial, Single Audit, and other statutory audits).Prepare ad-hoc analyses as required.QUALIFICATIONS:

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

Self-starter with a proactive mentality to challenge the status quo, identify process improvements, and bring in new ideas to the team. Always looking for a better way!Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including bridging communications and collaborating with Fiscal and program teams while effectively interfacing with external grantors.Can prioritize and efficiently take on multiple tasks within deadlines.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP systems or other finance applications or visualization tools, Adaptive, Concur a plus.Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an approved related field.Exposure and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Experience with fund accounting, contract billing, auditing, fiscal management; automated accounting systems, and data processing interrelationships a plus.Physical Requirements:
