This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time).The JobVouch is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Technical Foundations Team at Vouch. The Technical Foundations Team is focused on building foundational technology to be used across the entire organization. Core to this foundational technology is a new event-driven, microservice architecture. This architecture will serve as the foundational future of Vouch’s insurance technology and will enable not only other software engineering teams to bring new insurance products to market quickly but also enable non-technical go-to-market teams to work effectively out of tools they work most comfortably in, including Salesforce and Zendesk. It’s an important and challenging systems design and data-centric challenge. You will have the opportunity to contribute critical code shaping the business's fundamental technical and strategic direction.You WillDesign, build, and maintain OpenAPI-based APIs within the microservice architectureWork on the core infrastructure for our Insurance platform, which enables the launching and managing of insurance programsCollaborate with and mentor junior team members on priorities and technical specificationsBe responsible for planning and implementing the design of large features within our products and solutionProvide constructive feedback to team members through code reviews and pair programming sessionsYou may be a good fit for the role if you:Have 6+ years of development experienceHave experience building distributed systems and APIs as a product or platformExperience writing production-level code in TypeScript; experience with Ruby is a plusHave experience in Postgres or another transactional, relational database system, as well as ability to design schemasHave exceptional communication skills.
