This position will remain open for application based onbusiness need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewAs a Vice President, West Origination, you will be responsible for leadingand driving Invenergy's origination activities in the West, generallyincluding WECC, SPP, ERCOT, and CAISO. The VP, West Origination willmaintain, develop, and grow utility customer relationships with theultimate objective to execute offtake agreements including Power PurchaseAgreements for new-build and existing assets, as well as Build TransferAgreements and Development Transfer Agreements for new assets. This role willbe responsible for market strategy development and execution in closecollaboration with Invenergy's development, regulatory affairs, andstrategy teams. This position will report to the EVP of Origination. This rolewould be an ideal opportunity for an ambitious team leader with deep industryexperience and knowledge. Expect 25% travel.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with utility customers, especially at thesenior level.Develop marketing and sales strategies with objective to execute PowerPurchase Agreements for new and existing assets, Build TransferAgreements, and Development Transfer Agreements.Lead and support contract negotiations with purposeful commercial strategy andrisk management.Lead a team of Originators and support staff to ensure broad customerengagement inclusive of RFP responses and bilateral sales.Coordinate with development, finance, engineering and other departments todevelop solutions for customers, including assisting in the development ofproposals and pricing for opportunities.Create strategies and business cases for new project developments inconjunction with other teams.Maintain deep understanding and knowledge of power markets and regulatoryactivities impacting customers and projects.Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree10+ years in the energy sector with demonstrated expertise in sales,commercial deal structuring, and negotiations.Deep knowledge of transmission and power markets with at least some experienceacross WECC, SPP, ERCOT, and/or CAISO.Valid driver's licenseEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visasponsorship now or in the future.Travel >25%Preferred Skills:MBA or similar advanced degreeRenewable energy project development experienceRenewable energy project management or construction experience.Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time management skills.Strong public speaking and personal skills.Ability to write effectively and communicate concisely.Collaborative leader and team-player who will work with others to deliverresults.Salary Range$215,000 - $260,000Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), bonus, paid time off, etc.Invenergy LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
