Description
As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:Ensure accurate processing of radiology ordersMaintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performedOperate a variety of post-processing/3D workstationsPerform accurate image archivalPrepare and administer paramagnetic contrast mediaSensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patientSalary Range:$49.73 - $65.56 Hourly*This posting is for 3 open positions*Qualifications
LicensesARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate requiredORARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - requiredVenipuncture certificate - requiredBCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - requiredGraduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - requiredAA or BS - preferredAt least 1 year of MRI experience - preferredSiemens experience - preferredAbility to adapt to advancements and changing technologiesAbility to identify contraindications for examsExcellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skillsFamiliarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
