Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing: Number of Beds : 33 Patient Ratios : 4-5: 1 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 UC daily/ 2-3 PCAs daily Type of equipment: Lifts, Patient Tele Monitors (bedside and remote), EKG, IV Poles, SCDs, Beds, Low Beds, Glucometer. Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: Must work at least 4 weekend shifts per month. Shifts are requested by staff and balanced as appropriate by the unit director. Floating policy: As needed Hospital Specifics: Certifications: Sepsis, TJC, Breast Center, TAPE Award, Stroke Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role) PCU Experience Telemetry Experience BLS ACLS 2 Years of Hospital Experience Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first) PCU/ICU Experience/PCCN or CCCN Certified Meditech experience preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN) ACTIVE TX RN LICENSE - Temp license will NOT be accepted ACLS Procedures performed on unit: Blood draws Stroke assessments CPR ACLS Lifts Wound Care IV Therapy (Drips, etc.) Patient Experience Required: Service recovery and assistance for patients and families that have concerns AIDET Hourly Rounding Bedside shift report All behaviors outlined by Methodist's ICARE Values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket Nail Policy - Clean and Healthy Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed Tattoos - Body art should be covered whenever possible. Many seasoned members as well as residents and nursing staff that have been on the unit for 2 years Flexible scheduling
