Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support the company's financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with [specific industry software or tools, if applicable].
