We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join a DC area technology firm in the technology space. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our client's financial records.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.General Ledger Management:

Oversee the general ledger and maintain accurate and complete accounting records.Record and reconcile various complex transactions, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and expense accruals.Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and intercompany transactions.Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.Compliance And Audit:

Support the preparation of financial statements for external audits.Assist in the coordination and response to audit requests.Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.Team Leadership And Collaboration:

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting team members.Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve accounting-related issues.Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.Prior experience in public accounting preferred.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.Experience in the SaaS industry or technology sector is highly desirable.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.All qualified and interested candidates should apply for immediate and confidential consideration.
