Our teams are currently delivering exciting, nationally important and industry-leading infrastructure projects, including roadways, toll facilities, transit, sustainable solutions, and transportation technology projects. How will you contribute to the team?Great opportunity to help build a larger ITS/Traffic Engineering group within our Denver office through training and mentoring of junior engineers.Assist with marketing and business development efforts by providing technical expertise on proposals and working with our business units to help identify new opportunities.Manage tasks and projects for DOT and local agency clients.Lead and perform ITS/Traffic Engineering and design assignments of a varied nature.Develop drawings for traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, traffic control, lighting, and ITS for transportation projects.Review project submittals, including conceptual, preliminary, and final ITS plans. Confirm compliance with state and federal design criteria and standards. Record review comments and confirm compliance to comments with responses and subsequent submittals.Assist in performing post-design oversight such as shop drawing reviews and construction requests for information.Design and Testing of a Completed and Operational ITS System, including DMS, CSS, CTSS, and Traffic Detectors.Experience with Testing and Acceptance Specifications necessary for a completely verified ITS implementation.Assist in design and development of intelligent mobility concepts including requirements analysis, technology review and selection, development and communication of operational concepts, specifications development, and testing.Experience with Design, Deployment & Operation of ITS Technologies.Experience with ITS Architectures & Systems Engineering Process.Data and Video Communications Networks and Systems Integration, Including Fiber and Wireless Systems.Perform basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance.Strong project and schedule management skills, organizational skills, commercial awareness, and financial control.Expected to take the lead in project-specific teams, manage projects and tasks.Contribute expertise in advanced concepts and techniques to solve unconventional problems.Ensure work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards.Ensure quality control procedures are followed and adhere to AtkinsRéalis standards.Coordinate with internal project staff, subconsultants, and clients.Present to clients and key stakeholders in a professional, responsive, and client-focused manner.Provide leadership, direction, technical guidance, and function as a mentor to technical professionals to assist in their training and development.Positive and practical with experience of managing resources, mentoring, and inspiring teams to exceed client expectations.Maintain and develop excellent professional relationships which can secure repeat business.Sound interpersonal skills and ability to converse with a wide range of clients and colleagues. Excellent spoken and written English.
What will you contribute?B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.This level may be achieved by Engineers with at least seven years of experience since B.S or 6 years sinve M.S. Typical incumbent has ten to fourteen years of experience.Minimum two (2) years of experience in ITS desired.P.E. license is required within one year of employment.Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license a plus.Technical writing, computer and communications skills required.AutoCAD or MicroStation experience required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.Experience with Bluebeam and SignCAD preferred.
