What You Will Do

Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Business Analyst that will conduct standard business analysis, gather requirements, and create user stories to support software development decisions. This candidate will work with the client and development team to gain knowledge in identifying solution requirements, and designing, configuring, and training on the solutions. The position will employ an Agile methodology.

Day to day tasks include all or some of the following:

Identify, define, and develop current state interface and system/application architecture diagrams with varying levels of detail (high-level, detailed, in-depth)Define and develop future state interface and system/application architecture, providing fully defined integration layers, protocols, and transmission through a system-agnostic lensIdentify interdependencies and interrelated impacts (direct or indirect) across systems, applications, and project workstreamsIdentify and provide recommendations for synergizing and streamlining system and application integrations or interfacesProvide proactive, comprehensive communication and updates related to project/workstream tasks, activities, and deliverablesIdentify, document, track, and communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions.Interface with the client on day-to-day project tasks and needs (i.e., meeting prep and follow-up, meeting minutes, action item/planning activities, etc.)Develop technical artifacts, including but not limited to project artifacts, requirements documentation, functional specifications, interface control documents, design documentation, data flow diagrams, architecture diagrams, etc.Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business requirements into agile epics and storiesCompose user stories featuring well-defined acceptance criteria that will build the framework upon which software development decisions are basedDevelop an in-depth understanding of customer requirements to create complex business flow diagramsManage the roadmap and sprint reports by keeping epics and stories correctly tagged and status up to dateWork with the business and end users to solve issues and identify opportunities for technology-based solutionsPrioritize and negotiate requests from multiple stakeholders.Facilitate timeline estimatesDevelop and maintain effective and collaborative relationshipsDesign, develop, document, and implement solutions in accordance with user requirements within project specifications

What You Will Need

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public TrustBachelor's degree3+ years of relevant experienceMust be able to work in a hybrid environmentExperience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls, best practices, and industry standardsSignificant knowledge and understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud-based architecture, system migration/implementation, and corresponding best practicesPossess an understanding of various technical languages, programs, transmission protocols, security protocols, and areas of interdependencyAbility to identify integration layers, protocols, upstream and downstream (indirect and direct) impacts, and data transmission (to include duplicative, erroneous, or unneeded data transmissions or integrations)Ability to define relationships between the various system and application interfaces, including web-based, API, AFT, transmission protocols, etc.Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms to both business and technical stakeholders of all levelsParticipate in and be comfortable facilitating working and/or discovery sessions, diagramming, modeling, prototyping, and backlog management effortsAbility to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while proactively executing and delivering project/workstream tasks, activities, and deliverables to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to provide time estimates and establish the level of scope complexity for tasks, activities, and deliverablesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, and Project
