Director of Sales
to grow with us! In this position
you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market share expansion. Your deep industry knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and proven track record in sales strategy development and execution will be critical to achieving our ambitious goals. You must maintain and grow your own book of business while expanding the sales revenue for the company and the sales force within the company network.
This is an in-office position and is based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives, focusing on inter-modal transportation solutions and white-glove services.
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and regular performance evaluations.
Identify and target key markets and customer segments, building and nurturing relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and potential clients.
Leverage your industry expertise to understand customer needs, tailoring solutions that address specific pain points and deliver exceptional value.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction, while maintaining proper revenue margins.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance insights to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Negotiate contracts with customers, pricing strategies, and terms of service agreements while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients.
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Experienced with HubSpot CMS preferred.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines.
Deliver sales revenue for the team while maintaining and growing your own book of business.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Extensive knowledge of transportation, air freight
, and white glove services
.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
Proven experience of 15 years in sales leadership roles within the inter-modal transportation and white-glove service industry.
Strong network and existing relationships within the industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating sales teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
