Summary
Responsible for assisting in a variety of Shop duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling parts request orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential parts.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with maintaining the Breathing air/Rescue inventoryAssist in restocking of the field service teams inventory in various off-site locations/regionsPerform inventory counts as required.Perform day to day shipping and receiving dutiesEnter everything that is received into the inventory software system (F&O)Relieve everything that ships from the inventory software system (F&O)Perform the building of part cages for our manufacturing Line & buildout teamPerform the upkeep of the parts room/warehouse (e.g. sweep, clean, dust, etc.)Make daily/weekly shop runs to retrieve or deliver items to Field Service TechsRestock items as they come in and maintain accurate documentation.Pull/transfer parts as required for shipping, delivery to Field Service LocationsUse forklift to load and unload heavy componentsMaintain storage locations for all itemsAbility to assemble and build parts kits, sub-assemblies & B.O.M.'s as neededPerform additional parts warehouse duties as requiredQualifications
Qualifications
Proficient understanding of parts distribution & production operations (e.g. inventory, shipping & receiving)Good working knowledge of inventory management software, and ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)Good organizational and multitasking skillsGood communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work with multiple cross functional teamsEducation and/or Experience
High School DiplomaSignificant work experience in warehouse / parts operations (2+ years)Experience in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk over 50% of work time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
