Responsibility Summary:

This person uses two and three dimensional CAD software for the development and maintenance of product and system designs for air pollution control technology. Additionally the person uses industry and product knowledge to assist customers with technical project related questions while managing larger projects to insure onsite demands are meet by Nordfab.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Create ducting system layouts and part designs to meet the needs of the customer.a. Using custom in house CAD add on to assist with designb. Insure project design complies with standard air filtration system design parameters. This skill will be taught if not already a competence2. Generate drawings, BOM and Quote for the projects assigned3. Works with customers on larger projects to understand site requirements and communicate these to Internal personala. Manage schedules and delivery demandsb. Insure quality, labeling and other site requirements are met4. Assist Manufacturing with part drawings to document key part details for manufacturing5. Partner with Inside Sales to insure customers technical questions are addressed6. Generate quotes for projects7. Enter orders as needed8. Helps with maintenance and programing of Nordfab ERP system (AX)

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.• Possess a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and print layouts• High level of mechanical aptitude.• Expert user of AutoCAD Inventor Software.• Ability to learn new graphic software to compliment the presentation of new Inventor designs.• Must be detail-oriented and organized to manage workload and demands .• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.• Revit knowledge is a plus

Experience:• Two to Four years of industrial experience in a mechanical design position.• Strong Customer Service desire• Ability to manage projects to meet customer demands

Education Certifications:Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in mechanical design and drafting.

Other Requirements:Domestic and international travel: As needed for project related assistance
