BASIC FUNCTION:Function as a lead member of the CPS Quality Assurance Team in supporting CPS Operations to ensure that our products always meet the requirements of our customersMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirementsCompetence in applying fundamental quality tools (i.e., 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D)Experience in compiling, formatting, analyzing, and presenting dataProficiency with MS Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work safely and follow all established health, safety & environmental policies, practices, and proceduresDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively to prevent compromising product quality and on-time delivery to CPS CustomersLead cross-functional Teams in the application of quality tools to define problems, initiate containment actions, identify root cause(s) and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurrencePlan and lead the execution of internal audits to maintain compliance of the CPS Quality Management System to ISO 9001 requirementsParticipate in Customer / External / third party audits and assessmentsWork with CPS Purchasing in the monitoring & reporting of external provider quality and on-time delivery performanceIssue & drive the timely response to and closure of Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR)Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators and metrics including product yield, on-time delivery, product defect categories, etc.Ensure all quality monitoring and measuring devices are properly maintained and calibrated within established frequenciesSupport the development and introduction of new products or changes to existing products to enhance manufacturability and reduce wastePerform other duties as assignedSUPERVISION RECEIVED:Reports to the Quality Assurance ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or Technical disciplineMinimum of 5 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within an ISO9001 manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with SAP, M2M, QT9 or other ERP SystemsLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plusASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plusUnderstanding of AS 9100 Quality Management System requirements is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to work safely within a manufacturing environmentPROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:Potential for advancement into Supervisory or Management roles within CPS
