**Forklift Operator - Shipping & Receiving 1st Shift** Ubicacin **Jonesboro Processing Plant** Departamento **Shipping & Distribution** Shift **Day** Description: **Position Summary**:The function of the forklift operator will be to load and unload trucks on a daily basis while operating a forklift**Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:**Process product using tools and equipment providedFollows all work safety policies and guidelinesObserves equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concernsAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelinesMaintains a clean and organized areaPerforms other duties as assignedAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hoursMaintain acceptable loading and unloading times of inbound and outbound trucksCommunicate with QA and USDA as neededCommunicate with drivers and Team Coordinators when neededPerform forklift check sheets on daily basisReceive bills from drivers and place on dock doors for loading as neededLoad and unload trucks in a timely and safe manner with no damage to product or truckComplete paperwork accurately and legiblyWrap pallets using stretch wrap machines accurately and efficientlyPlace product in correct rack in a timely and safe manner with no damage to product or rackBe able to work in an area with foot traffic and other material handling traffic in a safe manner**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**Ability to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructionsMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust pass a background check, drug screenMust be able to read and writeNeed to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMPS, SSOPS and USDAHave knowledge of FGI system and be able to use FGI scan guns efficientlyBe able to trouble shoot issues with FGI scan gunsBe able to read Bill of LadingsProduct knowledge and process knowledgeAbility to read and understand a packaging scheduleAbility to read Z out report for daily shipping schedulesAbility to drive a forklift swiftly and safely in congested areasAbility to use and control dock locks and levelers efficientlyAbility to complete daily paperwork as required and turn in to the proper departmentsAbility to communicate with Team Coordinator and Group Leader in the area about issues**Physical Requirements**:Frequent standing and walking in cold shipping cooler for duration of shiftLifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)Getting off and on forklifts to open doors to remove paperwork from pallets constantly throughout dayReaching overheadReaching below kneesAbility to multitaskCompleting required paperwork in timely mannerUsing material handling equipment as needed**Working Conditions/Department Description:**Work in cold environment for entire shiftWork with loud and noisy machinery as neededWork in dusty environment when using spice as neededGo in and out of different climates throughout dayWork in congested areas as needed
