Mortgage Servicing Processor

Role:
Responsible for the preparation of periodic loan accounting reports, loan payment processing and administration; reconciliation; administration of insurances, annual escrow analysis, 1098 reporting
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 40%Maintains mortgage information including payment postings, import new loans and updating member information, processing payoffs, curtailments, monthly billing statements, adjustments, account research, etc.20%Maintain escrow accounts for the payment of members' taxes and insurance premiums. Analyze data to identify any tax shortages, new monthly payments or change in insurance premiums. Maintain MI records, activation, process payment remittance and monthly MILAR reporting15%Answers telephone enquiries from members on routine inquiries regarding payoffs, change of owner, note modifications, beneficaries and other details of existing loans.15%Daily remittance to Fannie Mae (FNMA), sell loans to FNMA, balance and reconcile FNMA accounts.5%Prepare routine letters to members.5%Performs other job related duties assigned by supervisor.
Performance Measurements: 1.To prepare reports in a timely accurate manner.2.To ensure all data entry for loans made with zero errors.3.To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.4.To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.5.To organize and complete member files within prescribed time frame.6.To maintain files in accordance with loan manual and record retention schedule.
Knowledge and Skills: ExperienceOne year to three years of similar or related experience.EducationA high school education or GED.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.Other SkillsMust have good communication skills. Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook). Must have advanced math skills, skilled with 10-key calculator and keyboard skills.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak frequently, sit and frequently carry, climb, kneel, lift, reach, squat, stand, walk and push/pull. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 35 pounds. The employee must regularly discriminate between sounds, speak verbally and use his/her ability to discriminate between colors.Work EnvironmentWork may occasionally involve irregular working hours.
