Job Description / Essential Elements:
Drive bus on designated routes, maintaining good order among students in accordance with district policies. Maintain required records.Minimum qualifications: Successful completion of District pre-employment requirements.Possession of a valid Class B California driver's license and school bus driver certificate.Physical demands: This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but will involve walking or standing for brief periods. Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate bus related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.Desired Qualifications: Previous experience in similar position. Mechanical knowledge of diesel and gas powered equipment.Environment: The majority of th work hours will be spent driving the school bus. Inspections and bus readiness will be completed in the office or outside.EL NIDO SCHOOL DISTIRCT IS A TOBACCO FREE ZONE. USE OF TOBACCO OF ANY SORT IS PROHIBITED IN THE BUILDINGS AND ON THE GROUNDS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Requirements / Qualifications
*Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License with both "passenger" and "school bus" endorsement*California Highway Patrol School Bus Driver's Certificate, with no equipment restriction*Valid Current First Aid Card*DMV Printout*Copy of Current Drivers License*Copy of Current Medical Examiner
