Come Join Our Team if You Are:Dedicated to Quality Team Player Resilient Ethical Summary of Duties:This position will support the Kitting Cell by working closely with the Kitting Supervisor to hand pack and inspect completed parts to specification, utilizing visual criteria and detailed customer instructions on placement of products. Ensures all measures have been taken to ship out products safely and accurately. This position will report to the Quality Manager and may be asked to perform other duties to assist in the overall quality objectives of the department. What You'll Do:Performs quality control checks including measuring, weighing, evaluating product or package appearance, and package counts, while manually packing parts and pieces. Prepares crates and/or boxes, apply labels when required, follows detailed customer instructions on placement and packaging.Stacks crates and/or boxes on pallets according to directions. Follows all required safety guidelines.Assist Quality department with other duties or special projects when assigned or as time allows. Additional Duties:Pull tubs with parts in them off the production line to pack in crates, making sure the right quantity of parts in each tub. Inspect each part for damage before packing, using visual criteria and other established guidelines, ensure foam is inserted between each part as it is packed into the crate.Inspect part marking labels on each part, utilize nesting pack-out diagram and verification checklist for accuracy.Weigh all crates and document weights on applicable set weight sheets.Put labels in the crates and stamp each crate, utilizing stencils and ink pads provided.Utilize packing machine to skin pack parts according to nesting diagram.Weigh each skin pack and document on applicable weight sheet.Palletize overflow parts from incomplete sets, ensuring that parts are stored correctly to prevent damage.Maintain remake list by accurately adding parts that need to be remade.Ensure all applicable documentation is signed, establishing inspection of parts while packing. Requirements:Minimum age of 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of related quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read detailed instructions and execute instructions accurately.Ability to use measuring instruments, gauges, and test equipment proficiently and accurately, preferred.Ability to work well with other people, as well as ability to self-start and motivate while working independently.Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.Ability to lift to 70 pounds at frequent intervals.Must maintain adequate attendance, safety, and job performance according to company policies and standards.
