** Material Handler Lead****Job Category****:** Procurement & Logistics **Requisition Number****:** MATER01087 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description**This position is critical in maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory, cycle counts, and all other items associated with material handling. Role is responsible for keeping all material handling team members on track and verifying that all material needed for the day is pulled, staged and brought to the proper locations. Position will require the individual to be on call point of contact for emergency after hour needs and two mandatory Saturdays a month.RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:* Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.* Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.* Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.* Documents product shipment by recording units shipped and other required documentation* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed* Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.* Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.* Leads daily cycle counts* Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.* Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.* Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.* Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.* Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.* Maintains warehouse and inventory areas in a clean and organized manner.* Any other required duties as defined by their supervisor.* Leads the charge for housekeeping and 5S programs in the warehouse and yard* Will be the main point of contact for request of material from sales, plant manager, shipping department, etc.* Ability to work with strong personalities and manage work flow from multiple directions in a high pace environment* Ability to quickly change tasks to accommodate urgent requests* Lead daily group meetings outlying the days tasks, any stand down requirements, safety notices etc.ATTRIBUTES:* A desire to be the most efficient as possible* Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job* Self-motivated* Safety oriented* Willing to learn and grow with the company* Goal Driven* Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock* Receiving, stocking, and stacking* Pulling, packing, and loading* Good written and verbal communication skills* Strong sense of time organization and urgency* Able to work independently and within a teamPhysical Demands include, but are not limited to:* Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs.* Will be working at times in office environment but mainly in a manufacturing environment.* The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles.* The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.* Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed**Qualifications****Skills****Behaviors****:****Motivations****:****Education****Experience****Licenses & Certifications**
