On jobsites across America and the world, WernerCo brands are most preferred.Overview:The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the operation of a forklift, processing inbound/outbound orders and all applicable paperwork, and picking and packing orders in accordance with the position requirements and safety standards.Responsibilities:Complete the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance as necessaryOperate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe mannerMove products by loading/unloading shipments to carriers vehicles and store them in appropriate storage areasSafely operate and maintain material moving equipment such as reach trucks, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts to process ordersPerform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; repair pallets when necessary; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environmentEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and document damagesEfficiently move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and trailerEnsure that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety policesUnload and process inbound paperwork as required by company proceduresMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work areaAssist in maintaining the security of the warehouseConduct operations in a manner which promotes safetyOther duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordinglyMust have strong communication skills, both oral and written.Must successfully complete training and requirements to operate a forkliftMust comply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsAbility to work in harsh conditions, both hot/cold environments1-2 years forklift experience, preferred1-2 years warehouse experience, preferredForklift Certified, preferred#LI-OnsiteEEO Statement:WernerCo is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
