SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

QUALIFICTIONS

good knowledge of vehicle handling and safety techniquesgood knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules, regulations and of local street and road systemssome knowledge of basic first aid, including CPRability to safely drive a school vehicleability to read, write and complete forms and reportsability to effectively communicate with students, parents and school officialsability to maintain effective control over groups of children or young adult students, and to ensure student behavior is not distractive to safe drivingpatience with students who may become disruptivegood human relation and communication skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Completion of high school education or the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) supplemented by a valid Commericial Drivers License with Passenger and School Bus Driver endorsement; or any eqivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the abovve noted licensure, knowledge, skill and ability.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Commercial Drivers License with Passenger and School Bus Driver endorsement and a good driving record
