JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Intern will assist the Finance department in various financial and accounting tasks, providing support to the team and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of finance. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analysesSupport accounts payable and receivable processesParticipate in budget planning and monitoring activitiesConduct financial research and data gatheringPerform data entry and maintain accurate financial recordsAssist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentationContribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as assignedAttend meetings and participate in discussions to gain exposureSKILLS, TRAITS, AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication and interpersonal skillsQuick learner with a desire to expand knowledgeOrganized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyProactive approach and eagerness to contributeRequirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum GPA of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)Prior relevant internship or work experience is a plus (not required)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modelingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work on a part-time or full-time basis during the internship periodCommitment to confidentiality and professional ethicsPhysical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbsAble to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periodsMust be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises
