LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading Insurance provider in Chicago to hire on a
Corporate Staff Accountant
into their team to take on 50/50 blended accounting and finance responsibilities. This role will be back in office, downtown, 3 days a week and is budgeted up to a base of $85,000 with additional bonus opportunities.
This role requires all candidates to have a GPA of over 3.4. Public accounting or accounting experience within a large corporation strongly preferred.
Corporate Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processesPrepare and analyze financial statements and reportsAssist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activitiesConduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-makingEnsure compliance with GAAP, statutory accounting principles and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with various departments to improve financial processes and systemsParticipate in special projects related to financial operations and strategyAssist in the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders
Corporate Staff Accountant
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred1+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with exposure to insurance or financial services clientsStrong understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principlesProficiency in financial analysis and modelingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
