Senior Accountant
to join their dynamic team and help drive their financial success.
The
Senior Accountant
will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices within the SaaS industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entriesEnsure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processesPrepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAPManage revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with ASC 606Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatmentPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reportsAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial analysisCoordinate and support external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsMaintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reportingPrepare and file federal, state and local tax returnsManage sales and use tax compliance and filingsWork closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-makingProvide financial insights and recommendations to senior managementSupport other accounting and finance projects as needed
Senior Accountant Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the SaaS industryStrong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 and financial reportingProficiency in accounting software, ideally NetSuiteExcellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsHigh level of integrity and ability to handle confidential informationStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
