The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for independently leading and managing complex, cross-functional programs and projects, that strengthen enterprise risk management across Financial Risk (e.g., Credit and Market Risk), Non-Financial Risk (e.g., Cybersecurity, Operational Risk) and Compliance (e.g., AML, Trade Surveillance). Programs or projects involve the delivery of enhanced risk capabilities or regulatory changes that could impact multiple risk functions, business units, or technology.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Responsible for leading, advising, keeping up with industry best practices, and managing programs or projects to a successful delivery, including establishing the overall direction, coordination, execution, implementation, and reporting.Resolve complex problems, drive project team to success, provide guidance and workarounds while facing roadblocks through a consultative approach with project sponsor and stakeholders.Adhere to internal program/project management methodology, quality standards and processes, including delivery of all program or project management artifacts such as scope and objectives, resources plan, budget, project plans, status reports, and tracking of key milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.Establish strategies to minimize program or project risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Learn the subject matter to provide leadership and guidance for the programs and projects.Execute and implement programs or projects initiated to deliver new or enhanced strategic risk capabilities or regulatory changes.Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, and collaborate with the business and technology to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.Lead and facilitate cross-discipline discussions for decision making regarding scope, prioritization and issue resolution.Develop, manage and communicate all program and project artifacts such as objectives, risks, issues and overall status to multiple levels of the organization.The successful candidate will benefit from having:
Seasoned expert with over 7+ years of experience in risk management and/or program management.Technical, business, and regulatory knowledge acquired through previous industry experience.Consulting background and PMP Certification a plus.Program and project management and/or risk and compliance knowledge is required (e.g., fraud, operational resiliency, stress testing).Self-motivated, highly flexible, adaptable to change, ability to assess relative priority among competing issuesLeadership and organizational skills are required to determine the program goals, structure, budget, timelines and resource needs and drive the program to completionConsultative, critical thinking, analytical, and strong oral and written communication skills are required.Knowledge of MS suite of applications, advanced Excel skills for analysis, PowerPoint for reporting and presentations, and knowledge of MS project for project plans.Ability to work with multiple partners in cross-functional groups at various levels throughout the organization and ability to drive consensus among multiple groups.Ability to drive execution without direct reporting line responsibilities.
