Class A CDL Driver - Owner Operators

We are looking for an experienced CDL driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs of the location.ResponsibilitiesManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenanceCompliance with all D.O.T. requirements.Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents or violationsRequirementsTanker endorsement required; HazMat preferredValid Class A CDL licenseCurrent DOT medical card/registered with stateRegistered with FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse (https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/ )Proven work experience as a truck driver preferredAbility to work night or weekend shifts as necessaryExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsNo recent moving or driving violationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendationsExperience in energy industry is a plusMust have own vacuum pump installed on vehicleProvide your own trailer preferred (rentals from Defiance are available)BenefitsHealth, dental, vision, IRA, paid vacation and holidays
