The CDL A Driver will utilize a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate a commercial vehicle to deliver vehicles. The CDL A Driver will work with the dispatch team to complete assignments. This is a long haul driver position. This position requires a commitment to up to four days of travel per week transporting vehicles to dealerships across various states throughout the country.
As a CDL A Driver, you will:
Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rulesLoad and secure vehicles for safe transportInspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and check fluids dailyPlan routes and meet delivery schedulesDocument and log all work and rest periods and miles spent driving using an electronic logging device (ELD) or on a paper log when necessaryRetain fuel, toll, and hotel log and receiptsComply with all DOT rules and regulationsManeuver trucks into load or unload positionsReport defects, accidents or violations immediately
To be considered as a CDL A Driver, you will need:
High School diploma or equivalentClass A Commercial Driver's LicenseExcellent motor vehicle driving recordU.S. Citizen or U.S. Person allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) complianceAbility to operate a manual transmission vehicleAbility to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screenStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel for long periods of time, utilizing sleeper cabKnowledge of DOT rules and regulations including hours of service (HOS) limitations
A successful candidate may also have:
Experience in car hauling
